Shape Up Or I am a Goner!

Having teasingly belittled the superfluous ultimata of a live-in partner to shape up on the kilos, a dame of ugly Betty's frame, came home from work one day to find the belongings of her man (known via a mutual friend) shipped out from their townhouse abode.
Perplexed she swaggered her way to beloved fridge for lard-loaded consolation only to be greeted by a quickie note:
You failed to shape up, so I have decided to ship out. Fat chance!

I cannot by any chance describe this "shipping out" as being cruel. The least the girlie girl could have done is to listen to this sound piece of advice. But you will notice, PK, that our friends of the fairer sex orientation, do not take kindly to being kindly advised about the piling calories. If, for example you were planning on a romantic evening, you know you are in trouble if she asks you "Do I look fat?" My advice, whenever you are asked that question: RUN!

AH! That's so mean! Well - no one needs a man like that. Encouragement is the way - not belittling.
Posekyere - I must say I love your way of writing..reminds me of..I don't know? it's always like reading a book and you're so playful with the words like they were colours on a colour-plate. And each time I read, you manage to put a wiiide variety of colours. Does that make sense to you, or only in my brain, lol :-)

Hi Pen Powder,
Don't you think the girl needs some empathy from you and me, at least, after what the brother did to her?
I wonder what I would do if she was my siter. I really wonder.
But heah, who do I think I am to interfere? Afterall this guy cannot be forced to stick with a girl he is not that into.

Some people truly and honestly ask themselves the hard question: would I love my partner any less, if they changed physically. Some answer yes, some, no. Some do not bother to ask the question at all. Only one group knows what true love is. I won't say more. (But the woman should have tried harder).

Thanks Adaeze,
I certainly see the picture you are painting. The description of your cognitive process is indicative of great mental prowess.
You are really blessed with a beautiful mind.
As far as the man in the post is concerned, yes, he displayed a great deal of meanness.

Gee B.O.N.Y.I,
I don't suppose you are saying that it was good for the gal.
Hahaha!

Hi NY,
Your sentiment is a balanced reflection of the sad episode.
Painstakenly objective, you have shown fairness to the two people in this case.
I can say that if you choose to specialise in divorce law, you will be a darling of your clients.
You really are an honest broker and that is a sincere statement!

1.if the dude didnt like the change in weight he should have encouraged her to hit the gym by going with her.

2.guess the guy didnt really like her then. he just loved her slim figure till it disappeared.

3.so yea it was good for the gal. now she can find someone who will really appreciate her and like her for her and not her weight.

Smile, NY, smile!
We are all cheering you on.
