The Taming Duet

He: an elusive hunk with a serious knack for hit-and-run game.
She: a femme fatale with a mission to tie down serious game

On the hunting ground, the bet sounded clear.
Hoppity-jump, jumpity- hop,
terrain prepared to thrill
the best must outwit the rest.

Hippity-swing, boobity-boo, the bait laid about
hooks concealed to trap.
Dippity-bang, hippity- wham, the will to win unleashsed
the brain tossed about.

Today unhunked, he has a burgeoning abs.
And la femme?
A Black widow with a set of three.

first i tot dis were two who's paths crossed...but the ending sounds different...as if they both set out on separate ways...

but hey...don't get bored with my yearning...

you got me on cloud nine...

i've not read a piece like this in a whole time...beautiful beautiful beautiful...

Hi Novisi,
Thanks.
The piece is about how the whole institution of marriage beautifully tames the pair.
Infact, the gal ends up the winner having tamed him softly with her loving recipe and 3 kids .

I did not know you were poetically inclined - and so skilfully too.

I know it must not necessarily be interpreted to me by the poet (in fact, in poetry, self-interpretation must reign supreme) but I do not know whether the undoing of the pair was caused by their clash or simply by the passing of time.

Nana Yaw,

Such flattery!
Never being really poetically inclined. I suppose, reading your beautiful pieces has eventually awaken something in me.
This one just came the way it did.

As for the pair, time and the craftiness of the fairer gender inevitably tames the man.

That is the time-tested predicament!
