Come Sit With Me

In the midst of the nouveau riche crowd
At a swanky restaurant in Melville
An alluring dame sitting in a corner
Alone
Forlorn
Anxiety spelt all over her pampered countenance
With a practised glance she sizes up the gathered
Like a surveyor reading the contours of the surrounding
The discreet body language clear and unequivocal
I am available
Come and sit with me
Wondering if there be any other able to hear the prayer

Geez, I live in the wrong country. I've been looking for a come-sit-with-me moment for ages! Great work, Posekyere. Aren't you coming into your own, man?

Gosh NY!
As an dogged observer, you surely must have come across the come-sit-with-me moments. Hahaha!
Before I got married, my philosophy was based on getting into the bundus myself to hunt for my meat. The idea of going after dodos throwing themselves at one's feet is, in my opinion, pretty unadventurous. No?
Thanks my friend.

Ditto to your comment, Posekyere (at least the parts of it that I understood) :)

You are in a powerfully therapeutic mode right now, I must add.

Thanks and welcome BIG JEWEJJER!
I will certainly visit your blogs.
It is good that you are doing something to reach out to those who need a little bit of help to stand on their own feet.
Bless you!!

Good point RocNaija.
Are most issues of life not like that? Clear and uncomplicated at face value but really discreet at heart. I guess to those used to reading the discreet messages of the soul, even the simplest of signals have deep and hidden meanings.
As to whether a double entendre was purposefully thrown in here, I leave that to each reader to reach his/her own conclusion.
I must commend you for your thoughtfulness and curiosity, though.
And my, my, your blog is a gem! Excellent work, my friend!

Gee Nov.
Have you ever seen a buck runnng after a lion to be eaten?
Never pick the yam that say " pick me, pick me". The dodos are extinct because they trusted in the goodness of neighbours.
I hope you are with me.
